Bram Brandemann (born 1969) studied, before he went to the conservatory, organ and music theory with Jaap Zwart. At the Utrecht Conservatory, he received his education from Theo Teunissen and especially from Reitze Smits. He obtained his diploma Teaching and Performing Musician in 1994 and 1996. During these studies he received a scholarship to delve further into the French romantic and impressionistic music at the Conservatoire National de Toulouse.
He also studied Majoring Carillon at the Dutch Carillon School. He was taught by Todd Fair and Bernard Winsemius, and church music by Cor Ardesch and Arie Eikelboom at the College in Gorinchem IDE.
Bram Brandemann is a church organist at the Joriskerk in Amersfoort as well as the Wilhemina Church in Bussum. He also plays during regular services in the Reformed Dorpskerk Maarssen.
He made several CD recordings, the series 'Rondom' (English: Around) is the latest one. On these CDs you can listen to music from around the ecclesiastical year (Easter, Christmas and such). His CDs were without exception very positively reviewed in the press. He is currently working on a project to record all of Bach's organ works on the instruments where he is the organist.
